Two days ago, a person asked me a question but I couldn’t find a good answer. The question was: “Why do you love to travel?” After spending a while thinking about it, I have decided to finally come out with this big secret of mine and answer the most frequently asked question regarding my love to travel. Once and for good, here are my reasons why I love to travel.
My TOP 5 reasons why I love to travel:
Each travel is a new adventure, new story and new memory… Because of them, not a single travel can compare to each other, even if we visit the same destination over and over again. I love travel because it gives me sense of adventure and freedom. It exposes me to new experiences that will turn into memories that will stay with me forever. Some of them are fun, the others might be sad, and some of them are full of adrenalin… And what’s good about this all, it’s that I never know what is waiting for me, but I always know, it definitely will be worth my memory.
I love travel because it allows me to get away from “normal life”, discover other cultures and get to know places I have only seen in movies. The curiosity for different cultures, ways of life, food, people and their way of thinking has being present in my life since I know about myself. Travel makes me become more open-minded to accept all the differences that exist between cultures all around the world. Allowing myself to understand those differences and agree with them makes me better… makes me richer.
On all my travels, I have always met amazing people…. people who always leave an imprint on me and my own personal growth. I get to make new friends in the most unexpected way. No matter if we just met for a few minutes or if these minutes had grown in a greater friendship. Meeting people with different styles, different cultures and different religions is the only thing that makes all my trips more beautiful, more interesting and definitely unforgettable… Thanks to travel, I learned that people who have nothing are the ones who give you everything. And people who are not educated are the ones who teach you the most important lessons in your life. It may be just a smile, a sweet kind word… but it means a lot to me.
Here’s a thing about me: I love to get out of my comfort zone. Travel puts me out of my comfort zone and inherently breeds challenge. I’m a firm believer that challenge leads to curiosity, maturity and growth. I could never learn what I know now if I had never gone out of my comfort zone, if I had never traveled. I could never make beautiful memories and unforgettable experiences if I didn’t travel. Travel makes me realize that I love to go out of my comfort zone, experience uncomfortable things and never be afraid to take risks and do scary things. Feel the fear and do it anyway!
I love travel because it makes me appreciate my blessings; it makes me fall in love with my life. My life isn’t perfect but I appreciate its imperfections: I find growth in my problems, strength in my low times, wisdom in my sad moments and happiness in good moments. And believe it or not, travel helped me realize that. It taught how to appreciate my life and love every day, every hour, every minute and every single second of it. I also love to travel because it’s when I feel most alive and connected with my inner self. When I travel somewhere, I travel in my inner self too. I discover more about me, I get to know me more and reach that high level of inner peace. And for that, I am so grateful!
Travel is definitely one of the things that make me the most alive and I’m so grateful and blessed to get to live and experience all the things that I had the chance to live and experience. I’ve never regretted a single trip I’ve taken!
