I have been using Vichy Normaderm deep cleansing purifying gel since 2016 and all I can say is that this product had done wonders to my face. It has a pretty high rating and it’s even one of Vichy’s best sellers. It’s a product by Vichy Laboratories and it is meant for acne / oil prone / blemished skin. It’s been 4 years that I’ve been using this product, and to be honest, I love this product so much that I recommended it to all of my friends and family. Vichy Normaderm Deep Cleansing Purifying Gel is specifically formulated for skin prone to frequent breakouts, large pores and excess shine. It contains salicylic acid, glycolic acid and LHA. Moreover, it helps in purification of the skin and prevent breakouts. Salicylic acid deep cleanses the pores. Furthermore, glycolic acid has a keralytic effect which allows gentle peeling. LHA smoothens skin texture and stimulates skin renewal.
Enriched with Salicylic Acid, Totarol, Eperuline and Glycolic acid, Vichy Normaderm Deep Cleansing Purifying Gel is an ultra-gentle, soap free as well as alcohol free cleansing gel. It deeply cleanses the sebum and also other impurities from the skin without drying the skin. Vichy is one of the two ‘active cosmetics’ brands in the L’Oreal group, the other being La Roche-Posay. Vichy Normaderm Deep Cleansing Purifying Gel comes in 2 type of packaging: tube form with flip top or a bottle with pump (the one that I have). Both packaging are green colored and transparent. This makes the product visible to you through the packaging, and it allows you to keep a check on the amount of face wash left. The packaging has got all the information about the product printed on it in the back. I like the packaging. It’s hygienic, easy to use and also travel friendly.
Appearance:
Vichy Normaderm Deep Cleansing Purifying Gel is a colorless, gel based face wash with very runny consistency. It has a very fresh and also pleasant fragrance. The face wash is very lightweight. It takes less than a coin sized amount for single application. It lathers decently, not too much and also gets rinsed off easily.
How to use it:
A very small amount is sufficient enough for use. Just squeeze it in your palm and apply over your face. It gives good foam. Avoid areas around eyes. Wash it off with sufficient amount of plain water. Just pat dry your face.
The results:
Nowadays you will find that products that are targeted for oily/ acne prone skin often will have Tea Tree in it, yet it still works. The smell of this cleanser is moderate and does make you feel like you will have really clean skin after using it. Using this can definitely help deep cleanse my pores and prevent excess sebum. Another great thing about this, is that my skin doesn’t feel dry!
For small pimples, it is quite effective. It doesn’t mattify the skin, but keeps it oil free and fresh for 3-4 hours post washing. Also, I have experienced less frequent breakouts ever since I started using this face wash. It reduces the redness and gradually dries out the fresh acne quite effectively.
Also I forgot to mention that the whole bottle can last you for nearly 6 months, which is really not bad at all. I would definitely recommend this for people that may have oily skin. Even though it is a bit expensive, it is worth it as it really is effective.
