If you don’t live under a rock, you’ll definitely know how massive and fast YouTube’s beauty community is growing these last few years. There are a lot of incredibly talented beauties Youtubers out there. From makeup artists to beauty gurus, you don’t need to pay to get your makeup done anymore. Just follow some beauty youtubers tutorials and you’ll become an expert. Trust, that’s exactly what I did to learn how to do my makeup alone. I’ve put together a list of the top 10 beauty youtubers to follow right now if you want to be a makeup artist without actually joining a MUA school.

1. Nikkietutorials

With over 12 million subscribers and 1 billion total views on YouTube, this dutch beauty youtuber Nikkie is the Queen of makeup. She is actually a makeup artist and she decided to join Youtube on 2008 to share her makeup tips and her expertise. You must know her from her most viral video The power of makeup where she kept it real and didn’t shy away from showing her bare face. Her most amazing highlights of her career is her makeup videos featuring celebs such as Kim Kardashian & Drew Barrymore on her channel and her collaboration with several beauty brands like Ofra, Maybelline, Too Faced and Marc Jacobs.

2. JeffreeStar

Jeffree Star was a singer in the past. He worked also as a makeup artist (over 15 years of expertise). Since he joined the YouTube community since 2006, Jeffree started posting some tutorials & beauty tips after launching his own cosmetics line Jeffree Star Cosmetics in 2014. Since then, his brand knows a huge success, as well as his youtube channel with over 15 million subscribers and almost 2 billion total views.  

3. James Charles

James started his youtube channel when he was only 16 years old. And in just 4 years, he build such a successful career. In 2016, he was the first-ever male model on the cover of CoverGirl Magazine. In 2018, he collaborated with Morphe to create his palette. Now, at the age of 20, he has his own house, his own car (Tesla Model X) and his merch brand “sister apparel”. With over 3.2 million subscribers on her youtube channel, the latina beauty influencer is a big internet personality and does some beautiful helpful makeup tutorials. She has collaborated with Kim Kardashian in a video on her youtube channel, as well as some brands such as Lancôme, MAC, Dose Of Colors.

5. Huda Beauty

Huda Kattan is known by her huge successful cosmetics line Huda Beauty that she launched in 2013. However, she is also a beauty youtuber with 3 million subscribers. On her Youtube channel, she does some beauty hacks, DIY Makeup tutorials. Time Magazine even listed her as one of the 25 most influential people on the Internet in 2017.

6. Jackie Aina

With nearly 3m Youtube subscribers, Jackie is so impressive with her makeup skills. She collaborated with a lot of brands and stands a lot for woman with darker complexions; she just recently collaborated with TooFaced Cosmetics for a new set of darker shades of foundations. I personally adore her, she is so funny!

7. Christen Dominique

She started by just doing makeup videos for friends and family and now she has over 4 million subscribers on Youtube. A lot of brands collaborated with Christen such as L’Oreal, Sephora, and Urban Decay. On top of that, Christen has recently launched her own makeup line Dominique Cosmetics which seems welcomed by the beauty community.

8. Shaaanxo

Shannon created her channel in 2009. To date, Shannon has over 3.2 million Youtube subscribers and 400 million video views. After collaborating with a lot of beauty brands like Clinique and Smashbox, Shannon launched her own cruelty-free cosmetics line XOBeauty.

9. Hindash

Hindash is an award winning Jordanian makeup artist from Dubai. He started as a painter; he used to draw black and white portraits. His work has been featured in over 20 art galleries. And now, he’s one of the best Arab male Makeup Artists. He is really so talented!

10. Patrick starr

Patrick Starr is the first Filipino transgender makeup guru who has put the internet by the storm. His youtube channel has over 3.9 million subscribers. He started as makeup artist at MAC Cosmetics and in 2017, he launched his makeup collaboration with MAC Cosmetics. Insane, isn’t it! He collaborated with a lot of beauty brands, has been on many red carpets and has done a lot of celebrities makeup such as Katy Perry, Kris Jenner, Paris Hilton…
