Did you know that most people shed about a million dead skin cells per day?
How to get rid of dead skin? A lot of you think that getting rid of dead skin must be such a hard task or very pricey; but in fact it is actually not a big deal at all. If you want your dead skin getting out of your face (in particular), there are plenty of solutions available that are easy and won’t cost you a fortune.
Here are my tips on how to get rid of dead skin and maintain a fresh, smooth skin for the long-term:
Before you do anything, you should wash your face first by using a good gentle cleanser (such as Vichy NORMADERM GEL CLEANSER…). It’s up to you to choose which cleanser you should work with. You can use the same as the one you likely already use on a daily basis as part of good skin care. However, just make sure it contains glycolic acid which is a chemical exfoliant that can penetrate deeply into the skin to remove dead, dull skin cells.
This is the best way to get rid of dead skin. Exfoliating is when you use a product called exfoliator that scrapes away dead skin cells by the pressure exerted upon them. Firstly, you should choose an exfoliator that will suit well your skin type. Then, you apply it all over your face and gently massage it into your skin in circular motions with your fingers. After you finish, you should apply a moisturizer to give your skin an overall healthy glow.
If you can’t afford buying an exfoliator, you can always make one your own by using home remedies. I personally use both, of course not at the same time, but sometimes I use my favorite exfoliator Pure Active 3 in 1 Clay Mask Scrub Wash Oily Skin. And sometimes I use a DIY exfoliator with coffee grounds and honey: Simply take up two to three tablespoons of coffee grounds and add one tablespoon of honey to it. Apply it with your fingers on your face and rub it in circular motions in an upward direction. Wash it off and repeat twice a week.
A celebrity facialist Joanna Vargas says: “Exfoliating every day can strip the skin of its natural oils, which can cause breakouts; it can also cause irritation because you’re removing the top layer of skin before it can heal.” Moreover, the dermatologist Elizabeth Tanzi says that over-exfoliating can cause chronic skin irritation and inflammation, which can lead to accelerated aging.
Most dermatologists agreed that you should exfoliate two to three times a week for normal and combination skin, and once a week for sensitive skin.
I have decided to build my blog on my own by just learning the basics and taking it step by step. Writing about topics that I enjoy has always been a passion for me and giving this a try would be a dream come true. I hope you'll get empowered and inspired through my blogging journey!
