This Brazilian city is considered as one of the most striking destination in the world and as one of the third largest city in Latin America. With its beautiful sparkling beaches such as Copacabana and Ipanema and its friendly lovely people. Also, its magnificent historical monuments (who can forget the Christ the Redeemer statue?) and of course the rich sounds of samba that you hear everywhere you go. I made this travel guide to help you plan better your trip (where to sleep? What to see?), if you are willing to travel to Rio.
Where to sleep
Located on Copacabana Beach, this hotel is known for its rooftop pool with panoramic ocean views. What to see

Sugar Loaf Mountain (Pão de Açúcar): Certainly, this is when your trip is going to be well worth. Standing high above Rio’s bustling metropolis at 1,299 feet, Sugar Loaf Mountain is the perfect spot to get the panoramic breathtaking view of the whole city.
Escadaria Selaron: Located in Santa Teresa neighborhood.The Escadaria Selarón Mosaic Steps consist of 250 steps topping out at 125 meters. They were made by Selarón, a painter and sculptor originally from Chile.
Copacabana and Ipanema beaches: If you are going to Rio just for the beach, you should go to Copacabana and Ipanema. They are the most famous beaches in Rio where you can enjoy sunbathing, the shiny sun and the beautiful water.
Maracanã: Officially named after journalist Mario Filho, Maracana is the most famous stadium in Brazil. The 2014 World Cup Final between Germany and Agentina was held at the Maracana on 13 July 2014.
