The type of outfit you choose will obviously depend on what you’re doing and how cold and rainy it is. Let’s take a look at some options, things what to wear on a rainy day:

Tops

If it’s raining, you will probably have a coat or jacket on top of your top, so you can really wear anything underneath. Opt for a t-shirt, a lightweight shirt or a sweater depending on the weather. Or maybe do like me and wear some neutral turtle neck t-shirt (turtle neck t-shirts work the best for me cuz they keep you warm and they look super stylish too !)

Coats And Jackets

It goes without saying that you’ll need a coat on a rainy day, but your choice will depend on how heavy the rain is, as well as whether you simply need to stay dry, or whether you need to stay warm AND dry.

You can either opt for a water repellent hooded rain jacket – or a waterproof double-breasted trench coat !

Pants

When thinking of pants to wear in the rain, you could think about pants you can tuck into your rainboots to ensure your feet stay dry. If it’s heavily raining, it’s best not to wear jeans, or cotton pants, as these will stay wet for a long time. And if you still wanna wear them, well at least pair them with some high-knee boots !

Dresses And Skirts

Dresses and skirts can actually be a good idea in the rain – as long as you’re not heading off on a serious hike. If it’s cold, pop a pair of tights (or leggings) underneath. These will dry off a lot quicker than many pants. Of course, you should wear them with boots.

Shoes And Boots

Generally, boots are the right choice for a rainy day. You could choose long or short rainboots or a pair of leather or faux leather boots. If you want a more athletic option you could look for a pair of waterproof sneakers.

Accessories

The obvious accessory you’ll need for a rainy day is a stylish umbrella. You could also think about a rainhat, a waterproof bag and a scarf to keep you warm. That’s it ! See, there is always a way to stay stylish, no matter the weather !
