5 Ways to spoil yourself

The best 5 ways to spoil yourself

5 ways to spoil yourself

One thing I often notice is that many individuals EASILY spoil and shower their loved ones with love, but don’t reciprocate the same amount of love to themselves. I admit, I’m still working on this…We often get told that we should give to others/ give back, but it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t give to ourselves either! As much as you love to spoil others, you should spoil yourself too! Therefore, I compiled a list of the best 5 ways to spoil yourself because you should take care of yourself as much as you do to those around you!

1. Fulfill a craving of yours

Have a sweet or savoury treat !

Not into sweet or salty food? Cook yourself a fancy meal or do take out if you aren’t in the mood to cook.

2. Buy a gift for yourself

If you have been eyeing something for a long time or want to add something new to your collection, why the hell not! Although I am not for shopping therapy, I think it’s nice to spoil ourselves with a gift once in a while.

3. Take a weekend getaway somewhere

Take a mini weekend getaway and if it is still not safe to do so in your city, go for a drive around town. Or go for a hike somewhere that isn’t crowded.

It’s so easy to feel unmotivated and unproductive because we are indoors mostly, so stepping out of our home and getting a change of scenery can really benefit.

4. Do a relaxing activity

Spoil yourself by doing activities that help you de-stress! Here are some ideas: Yoga, Meditation coloring, Shake off stress through dancing, Go for a walk…

5. Take yourself on a date

I think many of us are embarrassed doing things alone as we don’t want to be judged, so we hold back from doing it. Going on a solo date can help you shake off that fear of being alone (seriously no shame!)

If you happen to be in a relationship, you should still take yourself on a solo date as it’s important to reconnect with yourself and take time alone even when you have a significant other.
