5 easy ways to keep your skin hydrated in summer

Whether summer is your favorite season or not, it will create havoc when it comes to taking care of your skin and will create some skin problems (pimples, blemishes, dark spots) because of the harsh rays of the sun. As you may know, skin requirements keep changing in every weather and it is a real challenge to keep it soft, protected and glowing. Experts say that it is really essential to hydrate your skin, especially during the summer. Here are 5 easy ways to keep your skin hydrated in summer:

1.Drink water

In the summertime, your body loses a lot of moisture. So, it is essential to hydrate your body now and then. The more you drink water, the more it benefits you. It will not only hydrate your skin, but also hydrate your whole entire body. Drinking 10-12 glasses of water will keep you hydrated all day long and skin as fresh as a flower.

2. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize

Beside hydrate your body from the inside (by drinking a lot of water), you should also hydrate your body from the outside by using your favorite moisturizer. You have to apply it once in the morning before going out and once in the night before going to bed. You can also apply it from time to time during the day if you feel like your skin is getting a little bit dry. Or, you can carry with you a water spray and use it every time you feel the need to refresh your skin.

3. Stay low on makeup

If you love going out every day with your makeup on, this one is going to be a little hard for you. But let me tell you that during summertime you need to keep it low. Let your skin breathe and benefit from all the skincare products you use especially your moisturizer. Staying away from heavy makeup is the most important thing if you want to protect your skin’s natural glow. And if you are scared of looking pale, try to apply a tinted moisturizer, that one would help.

4. Use home-made face masks

When it comes to hydrating your skin with face masks, you don’t need to buy any of those that are out in the market. Just try to make some of them in your home, using only kitchen ingredients like milk, honey and oatmeal. These ingredients are great natural moisturizers for the skin and they can do wonders for your face to keep it smooth and hydrated. Moreover, it will take you a few seconds to prepare them. For example, take a bowl and put 2 tablespoons of honey, only honey; and then apply it on your face. Easy, isn’t?

5. Don’t forget sunscreen

I bet you definitely know how important it is to apply your sunscreen before you go out and face the scorching heat and the harsh rays of sun. Sunscreen will help in shielding your skin from harmful UV radiations that bring about the early onset of skin ageing. And it will prevent from getting pimples, blemishes and dark spots. Use a sunscreen whenever you step out. And reapply it every 2 hours.
