A lot of skin problems can be solved with exfoliation. As you may know face exfoliators take away all the dead cells and the impurities from your skin while making it healthy, supple and younger-looking. There are numerous face exfoliators available in the market, but why buy one when you can actually make one? With just some ingredients that you have at home, you can make an amazing face exfoliator that is inexpensive and extremely easy to prepare.
Following, I’ve put together a list of 5 amazing homemade face exfoliators for every skin type that you are sure to love!
If you want to know what is your skin type, check out this post over here!
One of the best homemade face exfoliators for normal skin is The Honey and Brown Sugar face scrub. Just mix two tablespoon of brown sugar with one tablespoon of honey. Apply on your face and start scrubbing your skin in circular motions for 5 minutes. Exfoliate twice or thrice a week.
Even dry skin should be exfoliated, and for that the best DIY face scrub is Banana and Honey. It is super nourishing for dry skin and can be whipped up in minutes. But don’t try to eat because it is so delicious, I know!
You will need an overripe banana, two tablespoons of sugar and one tablespoon of honey. Mash the banana very well. Add two tablespoons sugar and one tablespoon honey. Mix it all and gently massage this scrub to refresh your dry skin. Apply it twice a week.

The best exfoliator that your combination skin will definitely appreciate is the Sugar, Milk and Honey Scrub. Mix two tablespoon of sugar, one tablespoon of honey and one small shot of milk. The lactic acid in milk also provides gentle exfoliation, as well as sugar, while the honey protects the skin from free radical damage and moisturizes it.
If you have oily skin, like I do, please give this face scrub a try: Oats and Honey scrub. It is one of the most effective scrubbing treatments for oily skinned girls (like me and you). Mix 1 tablespoon of oats with 1 teaspoon of honey and just a bit of water to make a thick paste. Apply this mixture to your face and leave on for 20 minutes. You can use this scrub 3 days a week.
If you have a sensitive skin, exfoliate it once a week with this Tomato Scrub. Take one tomato and cut it into two pieces. Take one piece and dip it in sugar and then gently rub it on your face. Leave it on your face for 5 minutes and then take it off with a wet towel. And don’t forget to be gentle with your skin, girl!
